My wife and I stayed at Lisara Villas for a period of just over 7 months from December 08 to August 09. The owners of the property catered for our needs in every way possible and our Villa was equipped with all the necessities of a comfortable home.

The Villas are located in a beautiful village with amazing views of both the Mediterranean and the White Mountains. During the summer months we had use of a swimming pool situated within the grounds.

We would definitely recommend the Villas to our family and friends and indeed we would not hesitate to stay at the Villas again in the future.

Generally everything was OK, and small problems were solved promptly and quite effectively.

We go t everything were had been expecting and had paid for, the villa is situated un a very quite beautiful place and is quite close to a beach (10 min drive) and a supermarket (3 min drive).

The villas have great internal design and facilities. With two full bathrooms, double bedrooms, two balconies they were perfect for Sophie and I. I saw some other holiday lets when Sophie worked for the Christies, and those tended to have a shower room with whb and wc (no bath) and just a seperate wc on the ground floor- so no 2nd b'room.
The kitchen equipment, especially a good coffee machine, was spot on. Plenty of audio visual stuff too - tv, cd player, dvd player to fall back on when it rained or we had an evening in.
Location within the village meant the taverna and mini market could be easily walked to - again some villas in KC always involve a car journey, so that was a major criteria box ticked.
Anita and yourself created a nice friendly atmosphere - easy going. Not breathing down our necks - which i think some landlords might well do.
My only little suggestion is that maybe the external area could do with a few plants, urns ? to soften it.
Finally, I was very happy with the price for the let. Great value for money.

the villa and its surroundings were very clean and tidy. the house is equipped with everything you need for an extended stay, even to accommodate a baby. the swimming pool with a magnificent view to Souda bay is just perfect for big and small to have a quick swim day and night or to enjoy a lazy day hanging around (although some green/trees would have been appreciated). we had family and friends visiting us from all over Europe and for that the possibility to rent the neighbouring villas was just what we needed to be together and to have our privacy and comfort at the same time. the owners, Anita and Nigel are very nice and helpful. thanks again for the great vacation!

the only weak point for us was the location: you must have a car when staying at Lisara's. I would not recommend it to people who want to enjoy the nightlife of Crete (the parties till morning are in Chania and its Western outskirts) but this can be the perfect base for those wishing to explore Western Crete or just to have a private relaxing holiday.
